The position we are hiring for is at our Timberland location with the following schedule:

• * Monday: OFF
• * Tuesday: OFF
• * Wednesday: OFF
• * Thursday: 8:30 am - 7:15 pm
• * Friday: 8:30 am - 7:15 pm
• * Saturday: 8:30 am - 7:15 pm
• * Sunday: OFF

Requirements

• Must be licensed in Oregon
• Ability to learn and perform a complete array of waxing services for men and women
• Must be comfortable with male waxing services
• Must be positive, friendly, upbeat, and personable with guests and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Willing to work flexible days and hours
• Ability to connect with guests
• Stay updated on retail products and educate guests on the retail we sell. Meet or exceed retail sales goals.
• Recognize and support team goals by creating and maintaining positive relationships with team members.
• Maintain cleanliness of salon and treatment rooms.
• Maintain clear communication with Management about overall salon operations.
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time, 3-4+ hours
• No experience is required, we offer an amazing in-house training program!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time, 3-4+ hours at a time
• Walking and moving the entirety of your shift, unless on designated rest and meal breaks
• Bending at the waist and torso/spine twisting for the vast majority up to the entirety of your shift.
• Pushing, pulling, and lifting equipment in the treatment room
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces
• Adjusting or moving objects up to 45 pounds, in all directions
• Repeating motions that include the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers

Pay: Commission-Based – starting at 27%.

Performance Pay System: Waxer compensation is continuously evaluated and applied twice per year based on your individual performance from the period that just ended. GHV is calculated for the entire calendar half-year. Half Year 1 runs January-June, Half Year 2 runs July-December. The measurement of performance will be your Gross Hourly Value (GHV) to Urban Waxx. GHV is a simple calculation: Your total Service Sales divided by your total hours worked. The product is your GHV which is then plotted against a chart where then your Tier is determined. Your Tier then equates to your commission rate. At the end of the HY your Tier/Commission will be determined and applied to the new period, so on and so forth where your performance ‘this’ HY determines your commission rate for ‘next’ HY. New GHVs will be announced January 1st and July 1st.

The Waxer commission rate will never fall below the starting / base commission rate, and could raise to up to 51%.
