Job Summary:
The Esthetician delivers professional, personalized skin-care services at Spa 1919 while helping create a calm, welcoming experience throughout the Creek Club Women’s Spa and nearby fitness areas. In addition to treatment services, this role supports daily operations as needed—assisting with Spa Attendant coverage, maintaining pristine locker rooms and lounges, sanitizing equipment, stocking amenities, replenishing towels, managing laundry for the Women’s Locker Room and Spa 1919, providing basic support in fitness spaces, and assisting at the front desk during busy times. You bring a warm, member-first approach, uphold strict safety and sanitation standards, and flex to keep service flow smooth as business needs require.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Maintain all state-required licenses, certifications, endorsements, and insurance necessary to perform esthetic services in the State of Montana.
  • Safeguard Rock Creek Cattle Company, its employees, members, and guests by strictly adhering to all safety and sanitation standards.
  • Adhere to Spa 1919 treatment protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory of service products and tools; notify spa management when supplies are low to ensure uninterrupted service availability.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of check-in and appointment-scheduling procedures; demonstrate proficiency in the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Become familiar with all areas of the Creek Club (e.g., proper use of equipment, cold plunge, sauna, available amenities, and services); attend any trainings provided on these topics.
  • Communicate effectively and warmly with guests and members to personalize each visit and build meaningful relationships, including learning individual preferences (amenities, services, activities, and other relevant details).
  • Communicate efficiently and personably with Spa 1919 staff to coordinate spa activities with those at the Cattlemen’s Club, including prompt service, accurate scheduling, confirming availability of services, and greeting members and guests; review coordination procedures with staff and revisit them as needed.
  • Communicate professionally, efficiently, and personably with the General Manager and all Department Heads to ensure special events, tournaments, and department-specific needs are met; maintain consistency of service by staying informed about course events, large parties, and reservations that may affect spa operations.
  • Maintain general satisfaction, productivity, and morale by handling inquiries, concerns, or comments and providing solutions; gather feedback from members, guests, and staff to confirm satisfaction and/or share service-improvement ideas with management.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Department as they arise.
  • Follow Company control procedures to safeguard all assets, including proper handling of member information and equipment.
  • Complete side work and closing duties effectively and efficiently; check out with management before clocking out and leaving work.
  • Follow and practice Company standards of cleanliness.
  • Promptly report member concerns, injuries, accidents, and other high-risk issues to management.

  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings, mandatory staff meetings, and required trainings.
  • If allowed by law, alert management and receive permission before taking required or allowed breaks.
  • Accurately report payroll records through clock-in/clock-out procedures; monitor personal payroll hours and notify management when hours approach thresholds that necessitate overtime compensation.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties—jumping in during unexpected moments when the team must pull together to get a task done.

Requirements

  • Maintain active licensure as an Esthetician in the State of Montana.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods during services and remain stationary while performing detailed, hands-on work.
  • Regular movement, including but not limited to standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching (including at/above shoulder level), lifting, and carrying.
  • Frequent and repetitive hand/wrist/finger motions requiring fine motor precision, grip strength, and sustained manual dexterity (e.g., product application, extractions, operating tools, opening/dispensing containers).
  • Ability to access and navigate all areas of the Club, including Spa 1919 treatment rooms, the Creek Club Women’s Spa, locker rooms, lounges, fitness areas, laundry/stock rooms, and adjacent corridors/stairs.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and to constantly lift, carry, pull, or push up to 25 pounds (e.g., towel bins, supply boxes, product cases, and carts).
  • Ability to push/pull wheeled carts on tile and carpeted surfaces and handle doors while carrying supplies.
  • Close visual acuity for detailed work and reading labels/instructions; auditory ability to hear timers, radios, alarms, and verbal cues in a spa/fitness environment.
  • Environmental tolerance for warm, humid, or cool conditions associated with saunas, steam, and cold-plunge areas; occasional transitions between temperature/humidity zones.
  • Ability to work on wet or slippery surfaces safely while wearing closed-toe, non-slip footwear.
  • Chemical/product exposure: ability to work around standard sanitation agents, disinfectants, essential oils, and spa products; correctly don, doff, and use required PPE; read and follow safety labels/SDS.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and safely handle warmers/steamers and other standard spa equipment per RCCC procedures.
  • Ability to move quickly between treatment rooms and front-of-house areas during peak periods and adjust pace based on business needs.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced spa/club environment with frequent member interaction.
  • Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, temperature extremes (sauna/steam, cold plunge), and outdoor weather when moving between areas.
  • Exposure to manicure product odors and fragrances typical of spa operations (candles, essential oils, lotions).
  • Regular exposure to cleaning and sanitation chemicals commonly used in hospitality/spa settings, following RCCC safety procedures.
