POSITION PROFILE
The Massage Therapist/Esthetician is responsible for performing all spa services including massages, body treatments, facials, and additional related treatments. Actively contributes to a cohesive team environment that elevates the overall guest wellness experience. Dual certification in massage therapy and esthetics preferred; esthetician-only candidates will be considered.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Arrive 30 minutes before first guest arrives to prepare room for daily services, maintaining a clean work area throughout the entire day.
  • Promptly greet guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide services in an exceptionally timely, safe, thorough and professional manner.
  • Perform services keeping guest satisfaction a priority while running on time for next guest appointment.
  • Maintain pleasant and professional conversation as led by the guest.
  • Become familiar with guest names and acknowledge them by name.
  • Serve each guest on a one-to-one basis with utmost courtesy.
  • Be well versed with skin care ingredients and make appropriate retail recommendations.
  • Actively support spa retail sales goals through knowledgeable product recommendations and client education.
  • Personalize all services and anticipate guest requests whenever possible.
  • Constantly display outstanding communication and guest relation skills.
  • Help maintain and clean all common areas of the spa, both front and back of house.
  • Assist with deep cleaning duties and reorganization as needed and/or assigned.
  • Accurately record service notes and guest preferences in the spa management system.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude in all interactions with guests, hotel staff and vendors.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude in working with management and fellow team members.
  • Adhere to all Valor Hospitality and Spa standards, procedures and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years spa & recreation experience at a major resort/spa. Hotel experience preferred.
  • Active State of Georgia licensure in Esthetics required; dual licensure in Massage Therapy strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of spa, massage and esthetics services, and State of Georgia credentialing requirements and practices.
  • Familiarity with luxury skincare brands and ingredient knowledge required.
