POSITION SUMMARY:- The Estimating Supervisor reports to the Divisional President

As an Estimating Supervisor in the construction services and foodservice industry, your role is pivotal in leading a team of estimators to prepare detailed foodservice equipment estimates and bid proposals. With 5 years of relevant experience, you'll ensure that TriMark's bids are competitive and accurate.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Estimation Oversight:- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the estimating team, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of cost estimates for construction projects.
- Review and validate estimates prepared by team members, providing guidance to enhance accuracy and competitiveness.
Team Leadership and Development:- Lead and mentor a team of estimators, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the estimating team.
Bid Coordination:- Coordinate the preparation and submission of bids, ensuring compliance with project specifications, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather necessary information for bid submissions.
Cost Analysis and Reporting:- Conduct detailed cost analyses for construction projects, identifying cost drivers, and providing insights into areas for cost optimization.
- Generate reports on estimation outcomes, presenting findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication:- Facilitate communication between the estimating team and other departments, including project management, engineering, and finance.
- Engage with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to address inquiries, clarify project requirements, and build strong professional relationships.
COMPETENCIES:- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic business acumen and industry knowledge.
- Customer service and sales attitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
- Capacity to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Math skills suitable for the role and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of general construction, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Understanding of construction specification documents, document flow processes, submittals, RFI/RFP processes, and addendums.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and written specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:- 5 – 6 years of relevant experience in Project Management or Estimating roles within the Construction industry, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
- Preferred: Experience in the Foodservice industry.
- Completion of the CFSP Test within the first 3 years of employment.
- Preferred: OSHA 30-Hr Construction Safety & Health Certification.
- Team management and leadership experience.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
