Estimation and Procurement Engineer

Job Title:

Estimation & Procurement Engineer – LV Switchgear & PLC Control Panel

Job Summary:

Responsible for detailed techno-commercial estimation and procurement of LV switchgear and PLC-based control panels, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimation:

• Review SLDs, control schematics, GA drawings, and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for LV panels (MDB, MCC, PCC, SMDB) and PLC control panels.
• Select components such as ACB, MCCB, contactors, relays, VFDs, PLC, HMI, power supplies, and I/O modules.
• Perform load calculations, feeder sizing, and component rating selection.
• Prepare techno-commercial offers and bid documentation.
• Conduct vendor offer evaluation (technical & commercial).

Procurement:

• Source and procure electrical and automation components from approved vendors.
• Handle RFQs, bid comparisons, and purchase order issuance.
• Negotiate pricing, lead time, and technical compliance.
• Follow up on material delivery and ensure alignment with project schedule.
• Coordinate with suppliers for technical submittals and approvals.

Technical Coordination:

• Ensure compliance with IEC standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with design and automation teams for BOM finalization.
• Support panel design, FAT, and technical clarifications.
• Maintain procurement and estimation documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years experience in LV switchgear and PLC control panels.
• Strong knowledge of panel design, PLC architecture, and industrial automation systems.
• Familiar with major brands (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell).
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
