We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimation and Quantity Surveying (QS) Engineer to join our growing team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates, managing project budgets, and supporting financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You will play a crucial role in ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the quality standards expected by our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on project plans and specifications.
  • Analyze project requirements, specifications, and scope to provide accurate quantity take-offs.
  • Conduct market research to gather cost data and track trends in material and labor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project expenditures and provide ongoing cost reporting and budget analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in contract negotiations and prepare tender documentation for bidding purposes.
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and assist in the selection of subcontractors for specific tasks.
  • Review and assess variations and claims in consultation with project managers and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cost management.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related insights to support decision-making processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation or quantity surveying within the construction industry.
  • Fit-Out companies experience is must .
  • Proficient in estimation software and tools (e.g., Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, or similar systems).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with an ability to produce accurate estimates and reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of contract law and regulations relevant to construction.
  • Professional certification (e.g., MRICS, CQS) is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and relevant project management software.
