Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantity Take-offs: Calculate the amount of materials needed for a project based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze material costs, labor rates, and other expenses to determine the project's total cost.
• BOQ (Bill of Quantities) Preparation: Develop detailed lists of materials and quantities needed for the project.
• Estimation and Costing: Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, considering various factors like labor, material, and equipment.
• Proposal Preparation: Create technical proposals for client submissions, including cost estimates and project specifications.
• Supplier Quotations: Obtain quotations from suppliers for materials and fabrication services.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure accurate cost estimations.
• Prepare detailed estimates for machining jobs, including cost estimates for materials, labor, and other resources needed to complete the job.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Structural).
• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in design and estimation of metal works.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, or other drafting software.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabrication processes, materials, and structural steel design.
• Other Skills: Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid UAE Driving License
