1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems in building construction projects.
2. Review project plans and specifications to determine the materials, labor, and time required for MEP work.
3. Work closely with project managers, designers, and contractors to gather necessary project details.
4. Calculate quantities of materials and labor for cost estimation.
5. Analyze and evaluate vendor quotes and ensure they align with project budgets.
6. Prepare and submit detailed cost reports to the management team.
7. Monitor project costs during construction to ensure they stay within the estimated budget.
8. Assist in preparing tender documents and bids for new projects.
9. Provide cost-saving suggestions and alternatives without compromising quality.
10. Ensure that all cost estimates meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
11. Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
12. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation for MEP systems in construction projects.
13. Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
14. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
