Job Description and Responsibilities
01) Develop detailed labor and material estimates from customer provided specifications.
02) Extract estimating data using bid specifications and applicable references. Performs ship checks, estimate labor hours, material requirements, gather subcontractor quotes, prepares bid for final review, and submits proposals.
03) Tracks and manages project transactions such as margins, milestones, and invoicing.
04) Support the Commercial Manager in training Junior Estimators and Invoicers.
05) Attend pre-bid meetings with clients, attend pre-project kick off meetings, attend and production meetings.
06) Monitor each project on daily basis and update final invoices.
07) Submit final Invoice to client and assist Commercial Manager in negotiations for Invoice settlement.
08) Organize and file all documents for future reference.
09) Must have the ability and organizational skills to work numerous estimates at once and meet customer’s schedule requirements.

01) Understanding of technical manuals, drawings, and applicable references.
02) Demonstrated negotiation skills.
03) Attention to detail while analyzing customer request for cost information.
04) Ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage time effectively and to identify work priorities in a constant changing environment.
05) Proficient with corporate productivity and presentation tools.
06) Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Ability to write reports and business correspondences in the most optimal manner.
07) Strong listening and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present technical presentations to diverse audience.
08) Problem solving skills, decision making skills, and strategic pricing analysis.
09) Ability to establish and maintain positive business relationships with internal and external contacts is key attribute of this position.
10) Excellent mediation and conflict resolution skills.
11) Strong analytical ability and strong research capabilities.
12) Ability to work independently within a team setting.
13) Ability to interpret contract documents and regulatory publications.
14) Strong customer service skills with vessel owners and industry executives.
15) Ability to succeed in a diverse team environment including Multinational citizens.
16) Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
17) Possess working knowledge of Shipyard production processes.
18) Full understanding of production planning and work sequencing processes.
19) Ability to identify new processes and procedures required by industry change.
20) Strong computer skills with emphasis on Excel spreadsheet, Outlook, and word processing applications. Experience with MS Project/P3 and AutoCAD is considered a plus.
21) Possess valid driver's license and operate motor vehicle with satisfactory driving records.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
