Estimation Engineer

Hardell Metal Industries LLC is a specialized engineering company operating in the garbage chute systems industry. As part of our expansion, we are seeking a motivated and capable Estimation Engineer to join our growing team.

Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Estimation Engineer located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ), analyzing project requirements, conducting accurate project estimations, and providing technical support. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, performing research, and engaging in negotiation to ensure precise and cost-effective project planning and execution.

Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates and tenders for covering projects, fit-outs, maintenance, and rectification works.

  • Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and authority requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for materials, manpower, equipment, subcontracting, testing, and commissioning.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and compliant pricing.
  • Coordinate with design, operations, and procurement teams for technical clarification and scope alignment.
  • Support value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining system performance and authority compliance.
  • Prepare and submit commercial offers, tender documents, and clarifications within deadlines.
  • Assist in pre-bid meetings, technical discussions, and post-tender negotiations when required.
  • Maintain and update cost databases, rate libraries, and estimation templates.
  • Support management with budgeting, variation pricing, and change order estimates.

Coordinate handover of awarded projects to operations and execution teams with clear scope and cost details.

  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all estimation-related data and documents.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 year UAE experience in estimating.
  • Strong working knowledge of NFPA standards and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.
  • Proven experience in quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimation, and tender pricing.
  • Ability to review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Experience in estimating projects, fit-outs, maintenance, AMC, and rectification works.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation tools.
  • Ability to meet tight tender deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Immediate joiners preferred.
