JOB PURPOSE:
Analyzes project plans and documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, Labor, and equipment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project scope and requirements.
2. Develop cost estimates for materials, Labor, equipment, and subcontracting services.
3. Use cost databases, supplier quotations, and historical data to prepare accurate estimates.
4. Evaluate design alternatives and recommend cost-effective solutions.
5. Prepare and update unit rates and maintain a cost library for recurring activities.
6. Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdown structures as per tender documents.
7. Coordinate with procurement, subcontractors, and vendors for pricing of materials and services.
8. Participate in bid clarification meetings with clients or consultants.
9. Support the project team during execution with cost information and scope clarifications.
10. Assist in budget preparation and monitor project cost performance vs. estimate.
11. Coordinate with planning and design departments to ensure alignment between drawings and estimates
12. Proficient in AutoCAD (for quantity take-off).
13. Experienced in MS Excel (advanced functions for cost analysis).
14. Familiar with estimation software such as Candy, Cost X, or Primavera (optional but preferred).
15. Knowledge of UAE / GCC especially Abu Dhabi Market (civil codes and market rates)
16. Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
