Estimation Engineer - Modular Building Solutions

Job entails determining the review of all tender documents /scope of the work, reviewing of preliminary data and deliverables such as Tender specifications and drawings, developing the estimate in coordination with all discipline engineers , liaising with Client, attending pre-bid meetings to determine the final scope of work and do the most competitive estimate to win the job.

Job also involve in the value engineering, profitable revenues, cost control, risk analysis for our upstream / midstream oil and gas supported business activities, driving growth through implementation and delivery of strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Estimation scope include small, medium and large Modular building, Living Quarters , Blast rated modules related to Oil and Gas Industry (Offshore / Onshore) , Petrochemical industries and Refineries using estimation tools and standards .

· Estimation will be based on codes and standards of Oil and Gas industry which include IMO , SOLAS , BS , NFPA standards and shall be familiar with the standards

  • Need to analyse detailed project scope, tender documents, drawings, and specifications to prepare final cost estimates.
  • Responsible to share the tender documents with discipline estimation engineers, procurement, QHSE and construction teams to gather technical and commercial inputs to prepare the tender for submission to client .
  • Evaluate / negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations for compliance and competitiveness.
  • Develop most competitive pricing strategy and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) in line with Oil and Gas standards.
  • Conduct cost risk analysis and identify potential cost-saving measures.
  • Prepare presentable bid documentation, technical clarifications/ qualification, and pricing sheets for submission to clients.
  • Maintain cost databases, unit rate analysis, and historical project records for future tendering purpose .
  • Support post-bid negotiations and handover of estimates to execution team.
  • Provide support for any selection and optimization of work scope during project execution stage .
  • Support project team in identification, evaluation and capture of capital efficiency opportunities and estimate risks.
  • Perform cost reconciliation to previous estimates as project develops and help project team to prepare the cost report which can use a s bench mark for future estimate .

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in cost estimation within the oil and gas or EPC industry preferably in Modular buildings like E houses, Substation Buildings, Control Rooms, Data centres, Accommodation modules etc.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, equipment, and construction methods used in oil and gas projects.
  • Proficiency in estimation software ( Primavera, MS Excel etc ).
  • Good understanding of international codes, standards, and project execution methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Willing to do travel internationally for tender/business meetings .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in offshore, refinery, pipeline, or petrochemical projects.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and planning is a plus.
  • Exposure to international project environments (e.g., Middle East, Asia, Africa).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
