PTWL is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimation Manager / Senior Estimator to lead the estimation function for landscaping and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions while ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and compliance with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Estimation & Tender Management
- Lead and manage the estimation team for landscaping and maintenance projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender submissions for residential and commercial projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate and competitive pricing.
- Ensure timely submission of high-quality tender documents in line with client deadlines.
2. Cost Analysis & Technical Evaluation
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to obtain accurate cost inputs.
- Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure cost competitiveness and accuracy.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis based on materials, labor, equipment, and project scope.
- Maintain alignment with market rates and company pricing strategies.
3. Value Engineering & Risk Assessment
- Conduct risk assessments to identify cost, technical, and execution risks.
- Implement value engineering strategies to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Provide alternative solutions to improve project efficiency and profitability.
- Support management in decision-making during tender reviews.
4. Supplier & Cost Database Management
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of suppliers, material costs, and historical project data.
- Track market pricing trends to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Develop internal benchmarks for recurring materials and activities.
5. Coordination & Commercial Support
- Work closely with procurement, design, and project teams for technical and commercial alignment.
- Support contract negotiations and post-tender clarifications with clients and consultants.
- Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, company standards, and tender requirements.
6. Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and guide the estimation team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Review and validate estimates prepared by team members.
- Provide training and technical support to junior estimators.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Landscape Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in estimation, preferably within landscaping or construction projects in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping materials, methods, and UAE market rates.
- Proven experience in tendering for government and private sector projects.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and estimation/tendering software.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
