Estimation / Pricing Engineer (Fit-Out – Restaurants & Offices)

The Estimation/Pricing Engineer will handle full cost estimation and tender pricing for restaurant and office fit-out projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge in civil works, MEP, HVAC, joinery, and authority-related specifications. The candidate must be accurate, fast, and capable of handling multiple quotations and BOQ preparations simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities1. Cost Estimation & BOQs

  • Prepare complete cost estimates, BOQs, and pricing summaries for fit-out projects.
  • Review drawings (layouts, IFC, MEP, kitchen layouts) and identify scope items.
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) for civil, MEP, and joinery activities.
  • Prepare detailed breakdowns for:
  • Civil works & finishes
  • Electrical, lighting & ELV
  • Plumbing & drainage
  • HVAC & ventilation
  • Fire Fighting & Fire Alarm
  • Joinery, counters, carpentry
  • Signage & branding packages

2. Tendering & Pricing

  • Prepare pricing for client RFQs, tenders, and fast-track inquiries.
  • Analyze tender documents, scope gaps, risks, and exclusions.
  • Prepare technical & commercial proposal submissions.

3. Subcontractor & Vendor Coordination

  • Collect and compare subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare comparison sheets and select the best technical/commercial option.
  • Maintain updated vendor database and price lists.

4. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with design, MEP, and project engineering teams for clarifications.
  • Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
  • Prepare handover documents for the execution team after project award.

5. Value Engineering

  • Suggest alternative materials and specifications to reduce cost and improve efficiency.
  • Highlight cost-saving options to support competitive pricing.

6. Market Updates & Documentation

  • Maintain updated market rates for materials, manpower, and subcontractors.
  • Keep proper records of price histories, vendor quotations, and tender submissions.

RequirementsEducation & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or relevant field.
  • 4–5 years of UAE experience in estimation for interior fit-out (restaurants or commercial offices preferred).

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Civil fit-out materials & finishes
  • Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC cost components
  • Joinery works and shop-drawing understanding
  • Good proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD (for verifying quantities)
  • MS Excel (advanced formulas)

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under tight submission deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders at the same time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
