Work Description:
- Lead and manage the entire tendering process from enquiry to submission.
- Review tender documents (drawings, BOQs, specifications) and identify scope of work, risks, and cost impacts.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontract works.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and subcontractors to gather pricing and technical inputs.
- Develop value engineering proposals to optimize costs and improve competitiveness.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders and pre-qualification documents.
- Participate in tender clarifications, negotiations, and post-tender meetings with clients/consultants.
- Maintain updated cost databases, suppliers, and subcontractor rates.
- Prepare regular reports on bid performance, win/loss analysis, and market trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in estimation and tendering for a civil construction contracting company in The UAE/GCC.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates, codes, and authority requirements.
- Excellent understanding of BOQ, drawings, and contract terms.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimating software (Candy/CCS preferred).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
