Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel fabrication estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality.

Responsibilities

• Field inbound order calls and emails.
• Prepare product quotes for customers.
• Provide blueprint takeoffs and prepare detailed estimates for steel fabrication projects, gather material quotes, labor estimates, and other documentation if needed.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, or ECI jobboss to create accurate and efficient estimates.
• Collaborate with our team to coordinate scheduled resources.
• Conduct negotiations with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Monitor project schedule and communicate with customer throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in steel fabrication estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of steel fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ECI Jobboss, or other relevant estimating software is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Familiarity with construction site experience, allowing for practical insights into project execution.
• Knowledge of cost control measures, pricing strategies, contracts, and project management principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates and reports.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration across the team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,653.07 - $87,496.16 per year
