Estimator

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings, specifications, BOMs, and project documents to understand scope
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads
• Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams on project feasibility
• Assess project risks and prepare contingency allowances
• Maintain a database of costs and estimation records
• Support bid submissions and tender documentation
• Participate in project handover meetings when required
• Track actual costs vs estimated costs after project execution

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Finance, or related field
• 2–5+ years of experience as an Estimator (industry-dependent)
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in Excel and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, CostX – if applicable)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of local/international sourcing and logistics
• Knowledge of contracts and tendering processes

KPIs / Performance Indicators:

• Accuracy of estimates vs actual project costs
• Timeliness of submitted estimates
• Bid success rate
• Compliance with company standards and procedures

• Experience in Dubai is a must.
