Job Title: Estimator – Interior Fit-Out (4 -5 years in UAE)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with strong experience in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender preparation for interior fit-out / construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate BOQs, supporting budgeting and cost control, coordinating with vendors and internal teams, and ensuring timely submission of competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Take-Off & Cost Estimation

• Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials and manpower
• Develop accurate cost estimates, rate analysis, and BOQs
• Ensure estimate accuracy within ±5% variance

Tender & Bid Preparation

• Collect supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Prepare pricing documents, tender summaries, and bid submissions
• Assist in internal bid reviews and clarifications
• Ensure all tenders are submitted before deadlines with zero major errors

Budgeting & Cost Control Support

• Support project budgeting activities
• Track material and labor cost variations
• Update cost sheets, forecasts, and budget comparisons
• Assist in maintaining budget vs. actual variance within limits

Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination

• Obtain competitive quotations from vendors and subcontractors
• Prepare comparative statement tables (CSTs)
• Coordinate technical and commercial clarifications

Design & Drawing Review

• Review IFC drawings for scope clarity and discrepancies
• Raise RFIs and queries to the Operations Manager
• Propose value engineering and cost-saving alternatives

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain estimation databases, unit rates, and cost libraries
• Organize drawings, BOQs, quotations, and correspondence
• Prepare weekly estimation status reports and pending lists
• Ensure estimation files are audit-ready

Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Design, and Project teams
• Attend internal estimation and review meetings
• Support the Operations Manager during tender clarifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as an Estimator in interior fit-out or construction projects
• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQs, and cost estimation
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
