Estimator – CNC Machining & Fabrication

110 Metalworks, a leading supplier to commercial and defense OEMs, is seeking an Estimator for CNC machining, sheet fabrication, and welded parts and assemblies.

This role is well suited for someone with strong shop-floor experience who is ready to apply their production knowledge to quoting and cost analysis.

Essential Job Duties:

• Review and qualify part prints and models to confirm fit with our manufacturing capabilities
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, weld symbols, finishes, and customer specifications
• Develop BOMs and routing strategies; use Paperless Parts for model-based estimating and manually estimate when required, validating labor assumptions against real-world shop processes
• Enter and manage quotes within ERP and Paperless Parts systems
• Obtain pricing for material, hardware, and outside processing with purchasing support
• Recognize basic manufacturability and tolerance concerns during print review and escalate complex issues as needed
• Work with production leads to validate cycle times, setup approach, and first-time build considerations when complexity warrants

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of skilled trades or hands-on manufacturing experience (CNC machining, fabrication, welding, or related field)
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills
• Practical understanding of machining, sheet metal fabrication, and welded assemblies
• Good communicator able to collaborate with sales, engineering, production, and customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple RFQs simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using JobBoss2 or similar ERP systems
• Experience using Paperless Parts
• Experience with SolidWorks, Fusion360, or similar CAD software
• Familiarity with defense and aerospace requirements (FAI, source inspection, ITAR, etc.)
• Experience estimating complex fabricated or machined assemblies

Pay Range:

• Entry Level with Machinist Experience - $27 to $33 per hour
• Experienced Estimator - $32 to $38 per hour
• The compensation range listed for this position represents the employer’s good faith estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, education, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and location, as well as business needs.
