A well-established General Contractor based in Coral Gables, renowned for delivering high-quality multifamily, condominium, and mid/high-rise residential projects across South Florida, is seeking a Estimator to play a leading role within its preconstruction team. This is an immediate opportunity to oversee the preparation of detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and financial analyses for complex residential developments.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure accuracy while identifying potential risks, gaps, and coordination issues. You will drive the value engineering process during preconstruction to balance quality, functionality, and cost-efficiency, and collaborate closely with operations and purchasing teams to align estimates with procurement strategies and construction execution. The position also involves managing and mentoring junior estimators and estimating engineers, conducting performance reviews, and supporting their professional development. Building and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and consultants throughout South Florida will be key, as will ensuring compliance with safety standards, QA/QC protocols, and ethical guidelines.

Additionally, you will prepare preliminary and schematic budgets to track and monitor cost trends during design development, assist the purchasing team in reviewing and evaluating subcontractor proposals and scopes, and manage estimating timelines and deliverables to meet both internal and client deadlines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5+ years of estimating experience focused on multifamily, condominium, or mid/high-rise residential projects in South Florida.
• Strong knowledge of all 16 CSI divisions and Florida construction codes and practices.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, and Procore.
• Proven leadership experience within preconstruction or estimating teams.
