Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Estimator with strong technical and commercial expertise in evaluating costs for oil & gas mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing detailed cost estimations for ball valves, wellhead components, and related equipment supplied to Saudi Aramco, whether manufactured locally or internationally.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimations for ball valves and oil & gas equipment.
• Analyze technical drawings, datasheets, specifications, and client requirements.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes, raw materials, machining, assembly, testing, certifications, and logistics costs.
• Request and compare supplier quotations from local and international manufacturers.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, production, and sales teams to validate cost structures.
• Ensure estimated costs comply with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and approved vendor lists.
• Prepare commercial proposals, cost breakdowns, and pricing summaries for internal approval.
• Monitor market trends, material price fluctuations, and supplier capabilities to maintain accurate estimation databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–12 years of experience in cost estimation within the oil & gas equipment sector.
• Strong technical knowledge of:
• Ball valves (essential)
• Wellhead components
• Pressure control equipment
• Experience with Saudi Aramco projects, specifications, and vendor qualification processes.
• Ability to analyze BOMs, machining hours, welding procedures, coatings, testing, and documentation costs.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, forging, casting, and assembly.
• Experience working with both local and international valve manufacturers.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation software/tools.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with Aramco-approved suppliers/OEMs for ball valves.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, ISO, and other related industry standards.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of supply chain cost drivers.
• Ability to handle multiple quotations simultaneously under tight deadlines.
