Estimator (Packaging Industry)

The Packaging Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for packaging products by analyzing specifications, materials, labor, tooling, and production processes. This role works closely with sales, design, and production teams to ensure pricing aligns with customer requirements, operational capabilities, and profit targets.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for packaging products, including corrugated, folding cartons, rigid boxes, or flexible packaging
• Analyze customer specifications, drawings, and samples to determine materials, machine requirements, and labor costs
• Calculate material usage, waste factors, tooling, setup costs, and production run efficiencies
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to clarify requirements and optimize cost-effective solutions
• Maintain pricing databases, material costs, and labor standards
• Review historical job costs to improve estimating accuracy
• Support negotiations by providing pricing breakdowns and alternative cost options
• Ensure estimates align with company margin and profitability targets
• Assist with cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in packaging estimating or manufacturing cost analysis
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and print methods
• Proficiency in estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
