Estimator / Project Manager

Job Overview
We are a certified Woman / Minority-Owned Construction Business Enterprise (WMBE) based in Orlando, FL, seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator / Project Manager to lead our estimating team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of commercial construction processes. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate project estimates, cost control, and effective pricing strategies that align with our company’s goals and client expectations.

Duties

• Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create and manage estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, implementing cost control measures as needed.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with project specifications and company policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction estimating software, including Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively manage contracts and supplier relationships.
• Extensive experience in construction management, with a solid understanding of project management principles.
• Knowledge of cost control techniques and pricing strategies within the construction sector.
• Familiarity with construction site operations to enhance accuracy in estimating processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure precise estimates.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required).
• Minimum 7 years of verifiable commercial construction estimating experience.
• Proficient in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proven track record in cost control practices, value engineering, and accurate forecasting.
• Familiarity with contracts and legal requirements related to construction projects.
• Prior field experience on construction sites is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
• Must be local to the Orlando area and authorized to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
