Estimator / Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team in Marysville, WA. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural steel and metal fabrication projects, with the ability to manage estimates for both small-scale and large-scale projects. You will work closely with our project managers and fabrication teams to deliver accurate, competitive bids that align with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents
• Perform accurate take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates
• Utilize software such as Bluebeam and BuildingConnected to prepare bids
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and fabricators to confirm scope and costs
• Prepare proposals and submit bids in a timely manner
• Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and awarded jobs
• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in estimating, preferably in steel/metal fabrication
• Strong knowledge of structural steel, welding, and fabrication processes
• Familiarity with aluminum decks and railings is a plus
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, BuildingConnected, and general take-off/estimating software
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Project management background in construction or fabrication
• Knowledge of WABO welding requirements and fabrication standards
• Vendor and subcontractor relationship management experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,899.91 - $80,567.64 per year
