Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of construction projects in our excavation division. This role combines the analytical skills of a seasoned estimator with the leadership qualities of an effective project manager. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing project timelines, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Your expertise will drive successful project outcomes by balancing technical precision with strategic negotiation and team coordination while serving as the main contact from concept to delivery.

Duties

  • Prepare comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing plans, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Develop detailed project budgets, tracking processes, schedules, and resource plans to ensure efficient execution from inception to completion.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable contracts and pricing agreements.
  • Oversee project management activities including scheduling, cost control, quality assurance, and safety compliance on construction sites.
  • Coordinate with design teams, clients, and field personnel to resolve issues promptly and keep projects aligned with goals.
  • Monitor project progress through regular site visits, progress reports, and financial tracking; adjust plans as needed to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Manage contract administration processes ensuring all contractual obligations are met while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction estimating combined with project management responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and construction management best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to optimize project costs.
  • Familiarity with contracts, change orders, cost control measures, and project scheduling tools.
  • Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground challenges and solutions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
