Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior design projects, including materials, furnishings, fixtures, labor, and installation costs.
- Analyze design plans, specifications, and client briefs to define the scope of work and required materials.
- Perform quantity take-offs for various design elements such as flooring, cabinetry, textiles, and lighting.
- Conduct market research to assess current pricing for materials and labor specific to interior design.
- Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and suppliers to ensure estimates reflect project requirements.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and presentations for client meetings.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering while maintaining design intent.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle and assist in variance analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing estimates and financial projections.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of historical costs and preferred vendors for materials and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a world-ranked university.
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience, with proven expertise in cost management within a premium interior design company.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, tendering, contracts, and claims.
- Dubai-based, with a strong understanding of local construction and design industry standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, design-driven environment.
