Estimator(Packaging)

The Packaging Estimator is responsible for analyzing customer specifications and generating accurate cost estimates for packaging products, including materials, tooling, labor, production processes, and lead times. This role supports sales operations by providing competitive quotes while ensuring target margins and production feasibility. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capabilities, manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, packaging concepts, technical requirements, and RFQs to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Calculate material usage, waste factors, machine run times, die/tooling requirements, labor costs, and overhead.
• Prepare pricing proposals and quotations for sales teams and customers.
• Maintain and update estimating tools, cost sheets, supplier pricing, and material databases.
• Collaborate with production, design, purchasing, and sales to validate pricing assumptions and project feasibility.
• Evaluate alternative materials or processes to recommend cost-saving solutions.
• Track and review historical data to improve accuracy and speed of future estimates.
• Monitor market pricing trends, supplier costs, and changes in production methods.
• Participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure smooth transition from quote to production.
• Support internal and external stakeholders with technical costing inquiries.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in packaging estimating or similar manufacturing cost-estimation role.
• Understanding of materials such as corrugated cardboard, folding cartons, plastics, foam, or flexible packaging.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP estimating systems.

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
