· Summary:

A Quantity Surveyor in building construction is responsible for managing all costs related to a construction project, from initial estimates to final accounts. They ensure that projects are completed within budget while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.

· Key Responsibilities

· Prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies for new projects.

· Develop budget plans and ensure cost efficiency.

· Provide cost advice to clients and stakeholders.

· Prepare bill of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents.

· Evaluate contractor bids and assist in contract negotiation.

· Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.

· Monitor project costs and expenditures.

· Identify and mitigate financial risks.

· Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize resources.

· Measure and evaluate construction work done on-site.

· Certify interim payments to contractors and subcontractors.

· Prepare and manage final accounts upon project completion.

· Work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.

· Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts.

· Advise on procurement strategies and supply chain management.

· Ensure compliance with building regulations and contract laws.

· Manage claims, disputes, and variations.

· Collaborate with legal teams on contract-related matters.

Qualifications

· Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field

· Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and project execution.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, or other construction software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
