Estmation Engineer - Civil

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive UAE experience in tendering, estimation, and pre- & post-contract activities, specifically within the fields of construction and general maintenance. The candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, sound technical knowledge, and the capability to manage complex project costing and estimation responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and understand tender documents, drawings, project specifications, and BOQs.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction and maintenance projects.
• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare detailed material, manpower, and equipment calculations.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Analyze received quotations and prepare comparative statements for management review.
• Prepare tender submissions, including technical and commercial proposals.
• Work closely with the engineering team on value engineering options and cost optimization.
• Support pre-contract activities including budgeting, cost planning, and pricing strategies.
• Assist with post-contract cost control, variations, and claims preparation when needed.
• Attend site visits to collect project data and validate estimation requirements.
• Maintain a database of suppliers, subcontractors, and cost benchmarks for accurate pricing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/ Diploma Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of UAE experience in estimation, tendering, and contracting.
• Strong background in construction and general maintenance projects.
• Proven experience in pre-contract and post-contract functions.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
• Excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
• Must be currently in Abu Dhabi or willing to relocate for an in-person interview.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,500.00 per month
