Job Summary: The Fine Dining Waitress will be responsible for providing an exceptional and seamless dining experience for our guests. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables, presenting menus and explaining daily specials with expert knowledge.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, offering insightful recommendations and suggestive selling appropriate wine pairings or other menu items.
- Serve food and beverages with grace, precision, and adherence to established fine dining protocols (e.g., proper dish presentation, plate placement, wine service etiquette).
- Maintain a pristine dining area, ensuring tables are set correctly, cleared efficiently, and refreshed as needed throughout the meal.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously to all requests, ensuring an uninterrupted and enjoyable dining experience.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of all menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, potential allergens, and beverage offerings (wines, spirits, cocktails).
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any service issues professionally and discreetly, escalating to management when necessary.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems and adhere to all cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other front-of-house team members to ensure smooth service flow.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated experience as a Waitress in a high-end, fine dining restaurant environment.
- Proven experience within the European hospitality sector is highly preferred, showcasing an understanding of international service standards and cultural nuances.
- Exceptional knowledge of food, wine, and spirits, including proper serving techniques and etiquette for each.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with guests from diverse backgrounds.
- Impeccable personal presentation and grooming standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain composure and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
