Event Coordinator

Event Coordinator organises, and executes corporate, social, or hospitality events from inception to post-event evaluation. Manage vendor relationships, onsite operations, and client communication, often requiring 2+ years of experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments. Key responsibilities include ensuring seamless execution, coordinating logistics, and meeting budget goals, with strong skills in communication, and multitasking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Execution: Handle end-to-end event planning, including venue selection, catering, and audio-visual setups.
  • Client & Vendor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building relationships, and negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • On-Site Operations: Manage on-site logistics, setup, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Administration & Budgeting: Prepare proposals, manage event documentation (e.g., BEOs/function sheets), and track budgets/invoices.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct surveys, analyse event success, and prepare final reports.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local regulations, including obtaining permits (e.g., DTCM approvals).

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience: Generally, 2–5 years of experience in event management, preferably in the UAE hospitality or Event agency sector.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Public Relations, or a related field or comparable experience.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and negotiation abilities; ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Languages: Excellent written and spoken English is essential; Arabic or other languages is highly valued.
