Overview:
The Event Specialist – Data Governance will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining best practices in data integrity, compliance, and analytics across IDC’s event audience ecosystem. This individual will partner closely with marketing, audience acquisition, and IT teams to ensure that data is governed, clean, and optimized for strategic audience growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement data governance standards for audience acquisition and event marketing.
Monitor data quality, ensure GDPR and local data compliance across systems and campaigns.
Collaborate with regional teams to optimize lead flows, tracking, and segmentation logic.
Work with IT and marketing operations to maintain database hygiene and improve data reporting accuracy.
Develop dashboards and metrics to measure data quality and process efficiency.
Provide training and documentation on data handling best practices for regional and global teams.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making supports event growth and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Information Systems, or related field.

Around 2 years of experience in event marketing, CRM, or data governance.

Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, HubSpot, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations.Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
