Glenair is a multinational company, excellence in the field of interconnection with avionics-aerospace, land and maritime applications. We are looking for an events coordinator for our Istanbul office who can contribute to the growth of the company.
About the role
The Event Coordinator for Turkey, Middle East and Africa is accountable for the supporting and coordinating of key elements of the trade shows and events program. This position requires a detailed, independent thinker who could collaborate with internal and external stakeholders by creating and adhering to project plans and schedules, and managing all event logistics from conception to execution, build consensus, and drive results.
This role handles multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining consistent attention to detail and ensuring high quality event execution. Innovative thinking, problem solving, and continuous improvement with an open and collaborative communication style are critical to this role. The ideal candidate will be someone with a track record of running successful events, works well both individually and as part of a team, and is highly motivated and results-driven to meet business needs while keeping customer needs in mind.
The Event Coordinator works with the European Events manager, key sales contacts, and other functions to implement and deliver the event plan tactics.
Responsibilities

Execute and project management of all event types (trade shows, symposiums, and account events) Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with show organizers, booking space and services, coordinate booth construction, staffing coordination, hotel bookings, budget management, printing and shipping coordination, various on-site event duties when needed, functional team handshakes and strategizing activities.

Provide leadership and demonstrate strong communication skills

Working closely with European Events Manager, sales stakeholders, and other Events Coordinators to ensure events objectives are met

Serve as trusted advisor on new tactics or on course corrections to be implemented

Measure event effectiveness through metrics management and knowledgeable assessment

Act as steward to ensure compliance with Glenair’s corporate brand throughout events

Understand technical possibilities, restrictions, and limitations and how they can be leveraged or avoided to ensure event success.
Profile

Excellent communication skills (in English and local language), including ability to facilitate communication and build consensus among team members

Ability to handle multiple and complex projects simultaneously under tight timeframes and changing priorities and conditions

Ability to execute and own well thought-out project plans

Creative and innovative approach to work with attention to detail

Skilled negotiator with proven experience

Work confidently on virtual teams and with remote teams

Quick leaner to pick up necessary knowledge and understanding of products, programs, and solutions

Willing to travel between the Middle East and Africa.
Qualifications
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in event marketing.

Experience in marketing B2B technology products or services preferred.

BA in marketing, communications, business, or similar degree

Exceptional track record of developing a project plan and executing to the plan’s objectives

Positive relationship building with key stakeholders

Turkish and English language proficiency (working environment is a must)
