The Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce supports businesses across Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and the surrounding Cedar Valley region by providing networking opportunities, educational programs, advocacy, and community engagement.

Job Summary

The Valley Crossroads Chamber of Commerce is seeking an organized, proactive, and community-minded Events Coordinator (Part-Time) to support the planning and execution of Chamber events and programs.

This is an entry-level role working under the direction of the Chamber President, assisting with the coordination and delivery of networking events, ribbon cuttings, workshops, and Chamber programs. This position plays a key role in creating a positive and professional experience for members and the community.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is comfortable managing multiple tasks, and is passionate about supporting the business communities of Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and the surrounding Cedar Valley region.

This position has the potential to grow into a full-time Events or Programs role as the Chamber continues to expand its programming and revenue.

Hours & Compensation

This is a part-time position working approximately 10–20 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40+ hours during the week of ShopFest Utah. Hours will vary based on event schedules and may include occasional evenings for Chamber events.

Work will primarily be coordinated from the Chamber office in Eagle Mountain, serving the Eagle Mountain and Saratoga Springs business communities.

Some flexibility in scheduling is expected based on event needs.

Compensation is $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Work under the direction of the Chamber President to assist in planning and executing Chamber events, including:
  • networking events
  • ribbon cuttings
  • business workshops
  • signature Chamber events
  • Assist with coordinating event logistics, including venues, vendors, catering, permits, and materials
  • Follow established event plans and timelines to ensure deadlines are met

Event Execution

  • Assist with event setup, check-in, and teardown
  • Participate in hands-on event work, including setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and event materials
  • Support coordination of volunteers and event support staff
  • Help ensure a professional and welcoming experience for all attendees

Event Marketing & Communication

  • Assist with promoting events through email, social media, and the Chamber website
  • Help manage event registration and maintain attendee lists
  • Support sponsor recognition and event communications

Event Tracking & Reporting

  • Assist in tracking event attendance and basic budget information
  • Support post-event follow-up and evaluations
  • Provide updates to the Chamber President on event activities

Growth & Development Opportunity

  • Take on increased responsibility in event planning and coordination as skills and experience grow
  • Opportunity to lead event components or full events over time based on performance

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with the Chamber President and team on event execution
  • Coordinate with community partners and local organizations as directed
  • Support overall Chamber programming and initiatives as needed

Qualifications

  • Passionate about Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, and the surrounding Cedar Valley communities and excited to help support and promote the local business community
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience or training in event planning, coordination, hospitality, or organizing events (professional or volunteer) preferred
  • Comfortable working with business owners, community leaders, and volunteers
  • Comfortable using Google Workspace, Zoom, and digital tools
  • Ability to learn and work within a CRM or event registration system
  • Willingness to work in a hands-on environment, including setting up and taking down tables, chairs, and event materials
  • Ability to perform physical event setup
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work evenings for Chamber events

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
