Job Summary:
The EVS Director will oversee the Housekeeping and Laundry departments including the staff, operations, and budget.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
· Supervises Purchasing Assistant, Housekeeping, Laundry and Courier.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· The director shall accurately prepare bi-weekly payroll and submit to payroll by established deadlines.
· Responsible for all EVS employees’ work schedules.
· The director is responsible for following all HR guidelines in managing staff including selecting, training, and disciplining.
· Monitor and evaluate Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance activities. Record QA data monthly for quarterly report. Prepare QA report and submit to QA director by deadlines given.
· Purchase supplies within departmental and hospital policies including processing of requisitions, monitoring pricing, and obtaining competitive pricing.
· Oversees that supplies are re-stocked in areas such as patient areas, outer buildings, and the doctor’s building.
· Ensuring sharps containers are collected on regular schedule.
· Schedules monthly meetings and additional in-services with EVS staff as needed for educational purposes.
· Monitors floor care and schedules additional cleaning as needed.
· Oversees linen levels, purchasing of new linens as needed, and laundry chemicals.
· Responsible for documenting laundry pounds and turning into CFO each month.
· Oversees courier duties including but not limited to scheduling, backup scheduling, and overseeing that accurate vehicle logs are maintained by courier.
· Other duties as assigned by Administration.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
· Ability to work independently.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
