Job Summary

The Full-Time EVS Teacher will be responsible for teaching Environmental Studies to primary-grade students. The teacher will create engaging lessons, develop curiosity about the environment, and help students understand nature, community, and basic science concepts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver EVS lessons according to the school curriculum .
  • Teach concepts related to the environment, plants, animals, air, water, food, family, community, transport, safety, and basic scientific ideas.
  • Use stories, activities, visuals, and hands-on learning to make EVS interesting.
  • Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, worksheets, and classroom activities.
  • Conduct class discussions, group work, and simple experiments.
  • Assess students’ understanding through classwork, homework, tests, and projects.
  • Maintain student records and report progress to parents when required.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and positive classroom environment.
  • Accompany students during field trips or nature walks related to EVS topics.
  • Participate in school events, assemblies, meetings, and training sessions.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of EVS concepts for primary grades.
  • Ability to explain ideas clearly using simple examples.
  • Good classroom management and communication skills.
  • Creativity in planning activities, charts, and teaching materials.
  • Patience, empathy, and ability to work with young children.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed. preferred).
  • Graduation in Science / Environmental Science / Geography / related subjects (preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience in primary classes is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, as per school schedule (generally 7–8 hours per day).
  • Available for meetings, events, and academic planning sessions.

  • Maintain punctuality and discipline.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress.
  • Attend school workshops and training programs.
  • Support other school activities when needed.

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience , as per industry standards.
