Job Type: Full-time, Hourly $30-$40 DOE

Summary:

YB Excavation, a division of The Yard Butler, is hiring an experienced Excavation Foreman to lead field crews, operate heavy equipment, and deliver high-quality site work safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a working foreman — someone who leads by example, understands job profitability, and takes pride in clean, professional job sites.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and supervise excavation crew members daily

· Conduct morning safety briefings and job planning

· Assign tasks and ensure crew productivity

· Train and mentor operators and laborers

· Operate excavators, skid steers, loaders, and related equipment

· Perform grading, trenching, drainage, and utility installation

· Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and site plans

· Enforce OSHA and trench safety standards

· Conduct daily equipment inspections

· Understand and manage job budgets and labor hours

· Prevent unnecessary overtime

· Communicate material needs in advance

· Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Requirements:

5+ years of excavation/site work experience

2+ years in a leadership role preferred

Strong understanding of grading, site prep, and utilities installation

Ability to read and interpret construction plans

Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Strong communication and leadership skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Lift up to 75 lbs.

Extended periods of equipment operation and physical activity
