Excavator Operator

We are looking for a Excavator Operator Driver who will be responsible for operating excavators and related heavy equipment to perform digging, trenching, loading, and other earthmoving tasks at construction, mining, or infrastructure project sites. The operator ensures the safe and efficient use of equipment, performs routine maintenance checks, and follows all safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate excavators (various sizes and capacities) to perform digging, trenching, loading, grading, and earthmoving tasks.
• Work closely with site supervisors, surveyors, and ground workers to complete tasks accurately.
• Ensure work areas are properly marked and safe before operating machinery.
• Assist in preparing the site by clearing obstacles and ensuring stable ground conditions.
• Strictly follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation equipment checks.
• Identify hazards such as underground utilities, unstable soil, or nearby workers, and operate with extreme caution.
• Report any near-misses, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform daily routine maintenance checks, including hydraulic fluid levels, engine oil, coolant, mirrors, and tracks.
• Keep the machine clean and report any mechanical issues for prompt repair.
• Ensure the excavator is securely parked, locked, and properly stored after use.
• Use attachments such as hydraulic breakers, buckets, grapples, or augers as required.
• Follow excavation plans, site drawings, and instructions from site supervisors or engineers.

Qualifications:

• Valid equipment operator license or heavy machinery operator certification (based on country requirements).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience operating an excavator on construction or industrial sites.
• Skilled in trenching, grading, digging foundations, slope work, and precision excavation.
• Ability to read site plans and follow technical instructions.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety, excavation safety, and equipment handling.
• Ability to operate the machine smoothly in tight spaces or challenging terrain.
• High level of alertness, coordination, and physical fitness.
• Responsible, disciplined, and safety-focused.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work long hours, including in harsh outdoor environments.
• Valid heavy vehicle driving license (if transporting the excavator is part of the job).
• Certification in excavator operation from an accredited training center (preferred).
• Valid UAE Driving License (Heavy Vehicle & Excavator/Heavy Equipment Operator license category as per RTA).
