Position Overview

The Excavator Operator is responsible for operating heavy construction equipment to perform excavation, trenching, grading, and site preparation tasks. This role ensures safe and efficient handling of machinery to support construction projects such as roads, buildings, pipelines, and other infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators and related heavy equipment to dig, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials.
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layouts.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, and other crew members to complete assigned tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Monitor work progress and adjust machine operations to meet project specifications.
  • Report mechanical issues or hazards promptly to supervisors.
  • Assist in loading/unloading materials and supporting other site activities when required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Excavator Operator in construction or related industries.
  • Valid heavy equipment operator license/certification.
  • Can join immediately
  • With a valid QID and NOC availability
  • Strong knowledge of excavation techniques and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Physical stamina and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor construction sites with varying weather conditions.
  • Extended periods of sitting and operating machinery.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
