Excavator Operator

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade earth or other materials. As an equipment operator you MUST also be willing to assist with general labor tasks if needed. If you have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy equipment, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to perform tasks such as digging, trenching, grading, and backfilling
- Safely and efficiently operate backhoes, bulldozers, graders, and other heavy machinery
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate excavation and grading
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while operating heavy equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project progress

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Excavator Operator (3-5 years experience) or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation
- Proficient in operating backhoes, bulldozers, graders, and other heavy machinery
- Familiarity with excavation techniques, including horizontal drilling and trenching
- Ability to read project plans and blueprints
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Physical stamina to withstand long hours of operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
