The E.W. Scripps Company's Producer Hub is seeking a REMOTE Executive Producer who will handle day to day operations at the Producer Hub, coach and guide team of Sr. Producers working with local stations across the country, provide training for Producer Hub technologies and interact with News Leadership at the local level.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Coach, develop, and inspire the Producer Hub team that works directly with local Scripps stations across the country.
Oversee the daily operations of the Producer Hub and look for ways to improve efficiencies.
Coordinate and schedule Producer Hub resources based on station needs & priorities.
Interact with local news leaders and other newsroom employees to provide clear alignment when Producer Hub resources provide support to a station.
Provide training for Producer Hub initiatives and emerging technologies.
Communicate and partner with streaming team managers to help build a collaborative between the Producer Hub and streaming producers; look for ways to innovate.
Responsible for the quality control of Producer Hub content.
Work to evolve the Producer Hub with innovative and non-traditional ideas.
Responsible for promoting an effective and connected remote culture with Producer Hub employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent experience
Generally 8+ years of experience in related field preferred
Prior managerial experience preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Strong journalism background with knowledge and demonstration of editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel law
Strong communication skills
Passionate about leadership and desire to mentor others
Able to embrace new and emerging tools for more efficiency in local news production
Innovative thinker willing to take risks
Ability to own a project with little oversight
Passionate about producing with an eye for dressing up content
Strong writer with strong skillset in conversational writing
Remote work
Some travel may be required
