Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Executive with expertise in the travel and tourism industry. This role involves managing financial operations, accounting, taxation, and compliance while ensuring smooth financial processes for bookings, vendor payments, and revenue reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in travel accounting, including BSP/IATA reconciliations, forex transactions, and GST/TCS compliance related to travel services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain daily financial records and ensure accurate booking and revenue recognition.
  • Handle BSP (Billing & Settlement Plan) and IATA reconciliations.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including supplier payments and client invoicing.
  • Reconcile GDS (Global Distribution System) transactions, online travel agency (OTA) settlements, and forex transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and financial discrepancies.

2. Financial Reporting & Budgeting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements).
  • Analyze sales data, travel commissions, and revenue streams for financial planning.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision making.

3. Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TCS (Tax Collected at Source), TDS, and other travel related tax regulations.
  • Handle tax filings, statutory payments, and reconciliations.
  • Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with IATA, RBI, and government tax regulations.

4. Vendor & Customer Payment Management

  • Manage vendor payments, including airlines, hotels, and transport partners.
  • Ensure timely billing and collections from B2B/B2C clients, travel agents, and corporate clients.
  • Coordinate with banks for forex transactions and payment gateways.

5. Process Optimization & Team Management

  • Implement best accounting practices to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Supervise and mentor junior finance team members.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to streamline booking-to-billing processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • CA Inter / CMA / CPA / ACCA certification (preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1-2 years of experience in finance and accounts within the travel industry.

Industry-Specific Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with IATA/BSP reconciliations, GDS/OTA accounting, and forex transactions.
  • Experience in handling GST, TCS, and TDS compliance related to travel services.
  • Understanding of travel commission structures, airline ticketing finance, and tour package accounting. Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or travel industry specific tools).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, financial analysis, and reporting.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹35,000.00 per month
