We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Executive Administrator to support our leadership team. This vital role involves managing administrative functions, coordinating projects, and ensuring smooth office operations. - Performs executive and administrative duties for Mayor and City Manager;
- Serves as the point of contact for constituent relations, and responds to issues on behalf of the Mayor and the City Manager; Receives citizens’ concerns, complaints and requests for services and may delegate responses or action to be taken on behalf of the City Manager;
- Receives and screens visitors; screens, places and returns telephone calls, and handles Mayor and City Manager’s mail, e-mail, phone calls and calendars;
- Prepares materials for meetings and public speaking presentations;
- Maintains confidential files which may include access to confidential personnel and legal matters;
- Handles sensitive and confidential situations;
- Makes travel arrangements for Mayor and City Manager;
- Serves as liaison to Mayor and City Manager;
- Assists in the preparation of the budget for the City Manager’s office and prepares purchase order requests, vouchers, other related documents and tracks purchases;
- May assist with planning, implementing, creating, and promoting City of Española official events, and may assist with other large-scale City-sponsored events, as needed;
- Orders equipment and supplies for the Mayor and City Manager;
- Performs public relation services and prepares press releases under the direction of the Mayor and City Manager.
1. Education and Experience:
a. Associate degree (A.A.) from an accredited University in office administration, office
management, business administration or other relevant field; AND
b. Two (2) years related experience and/or training; OR
c. Any equivalent combination of education and experience totaling four (4) years which
would allow the person to perform the essential function of the position.
2. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license and be insurable by City’s auto insurance provider
Pay: $25.00 - $29.14 per hour
