Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
The Executive Assistant to the President provides administrative support to the President and serves as a key member of the President’s Office team. This position manages the daily operations of the Office of the President, ensures effective coordination of executive priorities, and supports institutional governance, leadership initiatives, and university-wide engagement. The Executive Assistant exercises sound judgment, discretion, and independent decision-making while handling sensitive and confidential matters. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced higher education environment.

Essential Duties Summary
  • Oversees day-to-day operations of the President’s Office, ensuring efficiency, professionalism, and responsiveness.
  • Manages the budget for the Office of the President.
  • Coordinates logistics for meetings, conferences, campus events, and official travel, including complex domestic and international arrangements.
  • Exercises independent judgment in responding to inquiries, delegating matters appropriately, and resolving issues on behalf of the President when appropriate.
  • Assigns and reviews work of student employees; provides guidance and ensures quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Establishes and maintains efficient systems for document management, records retention, and confidential file maintenance.
  • Manages confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Maintains accurate records and ensures timely follow-up on action items and commitments.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required to support the mission and strategic objectives of the University.

Hiring Range
$80,870.19 - $103,109.49

Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college.

Knowledge of:

Work Experience
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, preferably in higher education, government, or a complex organizational environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting a president, chancellor, CEO, or senior executive.
  • Experience in higher education administration.
  • Familiarity with board governance processes and executive-level communications.


Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment or water treatment system.

Working/Environmental Conditions
The position requires prolonged periods of sitting or standing, frequent use of a computer, and occasional movement across campus for meetings and events. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support university events or Board meetings.
