The Assistant Warehouse Manager will support the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and accurate handling of inventory, dispatches, and receipts. This role requires hands-on experience in warehouse management systems, people management, and process improvement to support The Sleep Company’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Warehouse Operations Management

Supervise inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely receipt and dispatch of goods.

Monitor daily warehouse activities, including material handling, storage, and stock accuracy.

Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping standards across the warehouse.
2. Inventory Control

Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and system reconciliations.

Coordinate with the supply chain and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies proactively.
3. People & Process Management

Lead and train warehouse staff to ensure adherence to company SOPs and productivity goals.

Support workforce planning, including shift scheduling and manpower deployment.

Drive continuous improvement in processes to enhance warehouse efficiency.
4. Systems & Reporting

Work on ERP/WMS systems for inventory tracking, GRN, dispatch, and stock management.

Prepare and share periodic reports on warehouse performance metrics (TAT, accuracy, shrinkage, etc.).

Support audits and compliance requirements.
5. Coordination & Communication

Collaborate with logistics, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.

Address and resolve operational bottlenecks or escalations promptly.
Requirements:

Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (MBA preferred).

4–7 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or e-commerce.

Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP/S4HANA experience preferred).

Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Hands-on experience in handling dispatch planning, inventory accuracy, and manpower management.
