IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL


Support the operations, monitoring, and upkeep of the organization’s Data Center and Enterprise Data Network infrastructure. This role involves working under the supervision of senior engineers and managers to ensure high network availability, performance, and security across campus and data center environments.

The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise networking, preferably including exposure to Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, and Wireless Networks. The role offers excellent opportunities for growth, technical learning, and contributing to strategic infrastructure transformation initiatives, including multi-entity network integrations.


HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT


1. Network Operations Support

  • Assist in the daily operations and monitoring of DC and EDN infrastructure, ensuring network uptime and performance.
  • Support L1/L2 troubleshooting for incidents and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
  • Monitor SLAs, performance dashboards, and health reports for data center and enterprise networks.

2. Data Center & Campus Network Assistance

  • Provide hands-on support for patching, configuration changes, and maintenance activities in data center and campus networks.
  • Assist in documentation and asset management of physical and virtual networking infrastructure.
  • Support implementation of access policies, network segmentation, and VLAN provisioning.

3. SDN, SD-WAN, and Wireless Network Exposure

  • Work with the team on SDN-based environments (Cisco ACI preferred), understanding policies, application profiles, and fabric constructs.
  • Assist in the operation and basic troubleshooting of SD-WAN setups, including branch connectivity and tunnel status.
  • Help manage campus Wi-Fi infrastructure, including wireless controller and AP configuration, health checks, and user access policies.

4. Network Security & Compliance

  • Assist in implementing basic security controls including access control lists (ACLs), port security, and compliance with network change procedures.
  • Support internal audits and maintain documentation aligned with regulatory and cybersecurity frameworks.

5. Vendor Coordination & Documentation

  • Liaise with OEMs and service providers for incident resolution and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configurations, and operational runbooks.
  • Participate in technical evaluations and PoCs under the guidance of the Manager.

6. Learning & Development

  • Proactively build expertise in routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), L2/L3 switching, and network automation concepts.
  • Stay current with evolving networking technologies such as VXLAN, EVPN, Zero Trust, and SASE.
  • Attend internal training and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.


WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL


Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Telecom Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry certifications like CCNA, JNCIA, or NSE1/NSE2 preferred; higher-level certifications (e.g., CCNP, HCIP) are a plus.
  • Relevant experience in enterprise or data center network operations.
  • Hands-on exposure to Cisco/Juniper/Huawei/Fortinet-based networks.
  • Experience or training in SDN (Cisco ACI), SD-WAN, and enterprise wireless networks will be an advantage


Competencies:


  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in L2/L3 networking.
  • Understanding of routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork mindset.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours for critical deployments and escalations.
