POSITION PURPOSE:
- The Demand Planner will be responsible for managing components by monitoring and ensuring appropriate inventory levels are on hand, on purchase orders and work orders using the Retail sales forecast as a basis. This candidate will be able to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and CMO suppliers to ensure we are in stock and product is available to satisfy customer demand. The Senior Demand Planner will also analyze and communicate business opportunities and risks to recommend actions that will drives sales, mitigate liabilities and support quick adjustments based upon critical business needs.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and manage finished goods, packaging materials and kits by monitoring and ensuring appropriate inventory levels and flow in each 3PL to satisfy customer demand
- Develop item monthly demand forecasts for a 9-12 month rolling horizon using historical trends, sales forecast, customer intelligence, and other demand drivers
- Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts by facilitating a collaborative planning process with sales and marketing
- Proactively manage DC-to-DC transfers, complete cost analysis of related transfers and collaborate with logistics and DC teams to ensure completion
- Provides input to drive collaboration and consensus with a diverse set of internal stakeholders to create quality business decisions on existing items, new products/launch, and product phase-outs
- Minimizes inconsistencies in information as this role works between and within numerous platforms to obtain all required information to manage the business, e.g., SAP, and various manual reporting tools
- Address planning and production related issues that CMOs bring to the table, evaluating issues, and working through the best course of action forward
- Gathers, analyzes, and validates statistical data to identify potential opportunities and risk
