Executive Director - Development (Sports) -

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an Executive Director - Development to take a leadership role in delivering this critical residential and sports development project. This role is essential in ensuring the successful planning, design, and construction of a world-class sports precinct that aligns with Qiddiya's visionary goals for community living and international sporting events.

As the Executive Director - Development, you will oversee the entire development process, managing cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with stakeholders to deliver a high-quality, sustainable, and timely project. Your expertise will contribute to creating a vibrant, functional, and inspiring living environment for athletes and future residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of the mega-sporting events development, ensuring adherence to scope, quality, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams, including design, construction, and operations professionals, to drive project delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities, contractors, and community organizations.
  • Ensure the implementation of sustainable and innovative design solutions conducive to a high-quality residential environment.
  • Oversee risk management and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement among project teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between various project stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Development, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 25 years of progressive experience in large-scale residential development projects, preferably in athlete or sports-related village infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainable development practices and residential project standards.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
