Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a proactive and dynamic Executive Director for our Events Bureau. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive event strategy aligned with Qiddiya's vision to create a world-class entertainment destination. The role involves leading the planning, organization, and management of events that attract visitors and enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all functions of the Events Bureau within DMMO
- Define and update the events strategy for MICE, leisure, and other events to attract visitors and promote economic growth
- Maintain and adjust the DMMO events calendar
- Develop new MICE, leisure, and other events
- Identify and bid for key events, lead generation, and converting event leads
- Maximize income opportunities from events at Qiddiya City
- Coordinate event efforts across relevant stakeholders including Corporate, DMMO, Districts, and Assets
- Coordinate event calendars with STA and other DMOs at the KSA level
- Co-manage the Ambassador Program with the Branding & Marketing ED to attract new events
- Coordinate and host familiarization trips and site inspections
- Support tourism service companies
- Produce reports as required by the Head of DMMO
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- At least 15+ years of experience in event management, with 7+ years in leadership roles
- Proven ability to conceptualize and execute large-scale events
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Financial management experience, including managing budgets
- Experience in the travel and tourism industry, with a good understanding of entertainment market trends
- Experience building partnerships with government and community organizations
