General Responsibilities

–Execute the university's partnership strategy under direction of the President and Vice President to enhance its reputation, reach, and impact

–Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with external organizations, including globally reputed institutions, industry, government agencies, nonprofits, etc.

–Serve as the primary point of contact for partner organizations, fostering strong relationships and collaboration opportunities

–Collaborate with University leadership to align partnership activities with institutional goals and priorities


Strategic Responsibilities

–Contribute to the development of the partnership strategy aligned with the University's mission, vision, and strategic objectives, with a focus on establishing international flagship partnerships across the different Schools and Academies

–Participate in identifying and prioritizing potential partnership opportunities that support key initiatives, such as research collaborations, student experiences, and community engagement, both domestically and internationally

–Provide support in negotiations for partnership agreements under the direction of the President and Vice President, ensuring alignment with University policies and objectives

–Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in partnership development to support strategic decision-making and enhance the University's competitive position


Operational Responsibilities

–Oversee the day-to-day management of partnership activities, including partner communications, meetings, and events

–Coordinate with University stakeholders to facilitate partnership initiatives and ensure effective implementation

–Track and report partnership metrics and outcomes, evaluating the impact of partnerships on University goals and objectives

–Collaborate with the finance department to manage partnership budgets and resources effectively, ensuring maximizing return on investment

–Provide regular updates and recommendations to University leadership on partnership activities, opportunities, and challenges.


Industry Experience

–10+ years of experience in partnership development, management, or related roles, preferably in higher education, nonprofit organizations, or corporate sectors

–Demonstrated success in cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with external organizations, including industry, government agencies, nonprofits, and other educational institutions

–In-depth knowledge of partnership strategies, negotiation techniques, and best practices

–Proven track record in identifying and prioritizing partnership opportunities aligned with organizational goals and priorities

–Familiarity with international partnership development and collaboration


Management capabilities

–Proven ability to manage and develop collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

–Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with diverse partners

–Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative partnership models

–Experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating partnership activities across multiple departments or units

–Ability to track and evaluate partnership metrics and outcomes, demonstrating the impact of partnerships on organizational goals

–Financial acumen, including budget management and resource allocation for partnership activities
